If I have an 8week old chick with barely any comb could it still end up being a cockerel?

I have 4 chicks, one with huge comb and wattle and very boisterous to boot! and 3 others with very small combs/wattles. SOMEONE tried to crow this morning 😳 so I really need to find out who!!! I 99.9999% suspect the one with big comb but this chick doesn’t take any crap from him when he fronts up. In your experience would a pullet stand her ground with a young cockerel asserting her dominance?

Sorry- asserting HIS dominance obviously!
