9 day old chicks fighting

That's what we thought! I will let you know how they behave in the chicken coop when we get them out there. For now he is in his own special brooder.

Another thought I had was that I noticed he is very attached to us, always running over to our hand when we put our hand in the brooder. He loves to sit on our hand and just generally be by it. He is awfully young to be getting protective but that thought had crossed my mind. He might get jealous or something.

Just make sure they have enough room but other than that chickens fight. Its kinda funny chicken is used for weak and scared when in reality chickens can be quite violent creatures. They fight to establish a pecking order and dominance, can be cannibals ect...... I wouldnt worry to much about it unless you start seeing injuries.
