9 days old- what am i???

I thought the math was-" To the second power " But thats my math:idunno

That rooster is just absolutely gorgeous, even though he is a crossbreed. WOW!
Okay, as for your chicks, the darker one I would venture to say is a cockerel, but since he is out of two crossbreed parents, you will just have to wait to see what he looks like when he grows up.
The buff colored chick, you need to show us a side view. Do you know its parentage?

They are full siblings to each other! only one hen lays brown eggs and they both came from brown eggs, and only one rooster in there. i had figured all the babies would be the yellow/oranges colors, and then he showed up, lol! here's the other one from the side, my stupid flash wouldn't go off, but you can still see her/him, i think it's a her, she's got a tail and the little dark one doesn't have any tail growing at all, but i don't know..

and after looking at the picture of the roo, that's their mommy in the background! lol.

Why are people saying he looks like a rooster? What is it about the chick that indicates he is a boy?

from what i've read, girls get their feathers faster than boys, so they yellow one would be a girl and the black one a boy, but i don't really know! lol.

I think you have two cockerels there. They both have the beefy legs like little boys tend to have. The shape of the wing feathers that are coming in say boy to me too.
But like I said earlier, they are crossbreeds, so if you are looking for breed specific, you won't find it. I will say though, that coming from a Gold Comet, you already have a sex link in play so that may be part of the reason for the contrast in colors, but maybe not.
