I doubt a snake would steal one from under her but maybe while shes out getting foodHave to agree she would have kicked out any no good so if the snake took them then who cares ... would a snake steal them from under her?

I found an egg lying outside the coop on the ground, and the nesting box with the broody hen it quite far from the door so i assumed that it was from the other hen as her box is right next to the door, anyways i went to give it to my dog as a treat as it was covered in mud but when i broke it open there was a half formed chick in it so i think she must of kicked it out. It made for a good treat for the dog thoughOh nooo...hope it wasn't a snake. I hope that mom just knew they wouldn't hatch and kicked them out of the nest. Keep us posted!
