I’m back again with another batch of goose eggs :clap

Hope they will be as much fun as last years goslings, they grew into lovely birds :)

Thanks! I only keep them for a week or so after hatch. They go back to the farm then where I get the eggs from. It’s rather like contract hatching. As cute as they are when small I just don’t have the room to keep them at home!

I'm glad you get to keep them for a little while, though :) I think ducklings & goslings are so adorable :love

I candled last night and it was disappointing :(

Of the 9 only one looks to have a developing embryo. 4 look totally clear and 4 look like quitters.

Very disappointed and god only knows what I’m going to do if a lone gosling hatches :hmm

Ouch those are grim numbers. I only have 2 growers out of a dozen right now myself. Can you find a duckling for company?

I’m hatching for a farmer friend so when I’ve checked them again in a couple days I’m going to let him know so he can try and find a friend for it, if it makes it.

It was quite active last night when I candled.........
