9 month old hen laying fairy egg?

My hens are 9 months old and consistently lay medium, large, and xtra large eggs. But, in the past week I've gotten a small egg and fairy egg. How does work? Could a hen stop laying and start over? Is it possible I have a hen that took 9 months to start laying?

It is isn't irregular. Sometimes chickens just lay itty bitty eggs Sometimes they lay eggs without shells. She isn't starting over, she'll get back to laying her regular eggs pretty soon

That's kinda what I was hoping- if I get enough eggs statistically I'd see something weird. But, it kinda freaked me out. I haven't seen a fairy egg in like 3 months.
