Without the addition of winter lighting my birds take a year to lay.

I'm not a fan of red chickens, but that soft buff and blue is attractive.
My Australorps generally lay around 20-22 weeks. All her hatch mates and some of the May chicks were laying by the end of September.
She is so pretty and wow on her eggs. I am the same with red chickens, but like buff.Yes, her eggs are still that remarkable dull olive.
