Hi everyone,
Very new to chickens and raising pets, though still have that beginner excitement (just joined BYC). I have 2 buff orpingtons roughly 9.5 wks old. They both have fairly large combs and wattles with a very red color. One is a bit smaller in size and comb + wattle. I believe I started seeing comb and wattle development from the larger one at roughly 6-7 wks. And the other one a bit later. I haven't heard any crowing; however, they are both quite aggressive, especially the bigger one. Based on research and other threads, I think they are both cockerels. Can you confirm? Also, if they both are, we cannot keep 2. How to decide which to keep and where to send the other? BTW, smaller waddle+ comb is the same as BO#2 and bigger waddle + comb = BO#1.
P.S. currently in brooder due to coop modifications. ALL the chicks want to be in the photo LOL. +Sorry for bad photo quality
