Do you think my Easter Egger is a male or female? I am hoping for a hen or a quiet roo that won't pick on the girls

Autumn has always had an endearing way of collapsing into your lap or hands... total relaxation.

I read on another post that the appearance of red feathers and that splashed look indicate male. My Daughter says it looks like Autumn is 3 different chickens -- all rolled into one.

Why? I also have my first EE and am always looking for how to tell if it is Roo or not.

he has a very red comb for his age and his color sreams roo. i have never seen a grey EE with the brown/red leakage like that turn out female.

I vote boy. My girls didn't get red until close to 20 weeks! He also looks like he has some pointy saddle feathers coming in.

All my "darks" were roos....13 out of 27...big track record to go from. But They are not very noisy crowers as compared to some.
