??? First post asked if he was a cockerel. Follow up said he was raised with another chick. I never saw anywhere there was more than two birds total. Still don’t.

So, I still think op needs to add a friend if they’re cutting the flock to one.

I highlighted it in the quoted post. They said the two chicks have started sleeping with the adult hens and no longer with their adopted mother.

Still think they’ll forget him quickly when you find him a new home. Mine did.

Thank you all - the information in your posts is very helpful. I’ll try to be more clear in my descriptions in the future.

It is correct that the two new chicks currently live with 6 other hens who are approximately 15 months old.
