I let my chicks out today and all seemed well and then before I was off for the day I saw that one was acting dazed and I saw that she had blood running from under and over her eye. It doesn't appear to be the eye but around the eye. My wife thinks they don't peck another chick like that for no reason and that she must be acting more sickly then just what we saw. We isolated her and cleaned her eye. She is acting weak and won't open her eyes(either). Does this seem like it something more then eye pecking to you all? I don't know what I would treat for or what the dose would be for 9 week old chick.

We have had so many different problems this year and this is different then those.

It sounds like bullying. Can you please post pictures of her?
Have you cleaned her wounds and treated them with an antibiotic spray or ointment?
How much space do you have for the birds in both the coop and in their run and what is in the run? How many pullets do you have?
We cleaned her wound with distilled water because we didn't think the woundwash we had would be good for her eye.
There are 10 of them including 2 roosters.
Their coop is a 4x4 house with a run that is 25x25.

If you have some plain neosporin or plain triple antibiotic ointment you can use that on the wound, apply with a cotton swab. Some poultry nutridrench might be helpful for her. I would keep her separate for a few days, see if she perks up or if you can identify anything else going on with her. I would do some observing to see what's going on with the group, look for any bullying. You may need more space, you may need to add a feeder and waterer or two if some are keeping others away. As they mature, 8 hens are not going to be enough for two roo's and in that space the roo's will likely eventually fight, and it could result in serious injuries, so hopefully you have a plan for them.

Yes this is temporary housing there is the big house with our 8 hens, but we are treating them for bugs so we didn't want to intergrate them so soon .

Thank you I will add the triple antibiotic right now and I'll buy another feeder tomorrow. I felt like they needed it too.

The coop is way too small. You need 3.5-4 sq ft per bird in the coop. The run is good size but, again, what's in it? Just a big empty space is not good. Chickens need perches of all sorts and litter to scratch through, places to sun and dust bathe and enough feeder space so everyone can get something to eat without getting driven off.
I'd rehome or separately pen one or both of the cockerels. They will stress the pullets further as they mature.

This is temporary home they have a large house

So she was able to open her eyes yesterday and thet both seem puffy and she seems to be moving her head in a sweeping motion sometimes. Does she have some neologics going along with this? I took photos of both eyes and even the good eye seems wonky.
