9 week old pullet gape breathing??

She made it another night! Still acting the same.

I don't think it's mold. No sneezing and the coop was built from new materials just two months ago. It has great ventilation and fresh wood shavings are added weekly. Although it's rained a few times recently we don't live in a particularly wet or damp region, we're actually pretty prone to drought.

Will definitely ask about the wormer too. That way if the antibiotics don't help I can try that too. Not a bad idea to have both on hand anyway I suppose.

Thank you!

I picked up a packet of oxytetracycline powder, does anyone have dosage amounts? I suck at math and don't want to over or under medicate her.

One of our chicken is breathing hard, one of her eyes has clear liquid water like but forms little bubbles inside and her nose is runny. She drinks water and eats (not a lot but still does). She lost some weight. Right now we have all of the chicken on Corid, because we had 4 dead from coccidiosis. What should we do with her? Her poop looks good and doesn't have blood in it. But she's sneezing/coughing and wheeling. And feels like her breath smells.

Here's what I got. I'm looking for dosages for not just her individually in the house but the rest of the flock as well. I've spent the last hour sitting in the coop observing and have another mouth breather, several sneezes AND now I have what appears to be several with bloody poop. All still eating, drinking and otherwise acting normally. For now.

I thought I did everything right and I don't understand how this is happening. I'm going to beg my resistant to help vet to do a fecal float tomorrow but I'm not sure she'll be willing to. I don't know what else to do and I'm terrified I'm going to lose them all :(

My coop waterer I believe is a five gallon, but I want to make sure everyone gets what they need if possible. They certainly don't go through that much water a day and it gets changed daily, if not more often when they kick shavings up into it

With that brand of oxytetracycline, the manufacturer say that 2 1/2 tablespoonful per gallon is the maximum dosage. However, a BYC member, Casportpony, measured the dosage in grams, and says it is 1 1/2 TB per gallon. I am not sure of the dosage with the electrolytes. Follow mixing instructions on the label. You can only give one medicine at a time--either the oxytetracycline, or the electrolytes.

The images posted shows Duramycin 10...

If you look on the first page as I stated 1 Tablespoon per gallon for the 800mg dosage rate...

Sorry missed that, page 12 of the linked PDF shows 3/4 Teaspoon per Gallon for the regular strength vitamin and electrolyte powder...

I just did the electrolytes to start and she's perked up so much she's attempting to eat on her own for the first time since Monday! I also mixed some into my coop waterer. I will give her some of the oxytetracycline tonight yet and then swap out coop water tomorrow. Talk about a rollercoaster ride. She's still wobbly and uncoordinated but it's a start and I'll take it! Her poop is still normal although I did have to soak her rear a bit this afternoon to clean it up with how much she's been sitting

I can't tell you guys how much I appreciate your help.
