Yes I knowEither the environment or something is lacking nutritionally. Do they have a relatively quiet place to lay? What are you feeding and do you supplement for calcium? By the way, the male has nothing to do with it. Female birds lay eggs with or without a male present.
We are giving them chicken layer pellets and meal worms to supplement protein. I ordered game bird feed today online though. I haven't been able to get it locally. Maybe this is the problem .
They get light and warmth, are outside all day then out inside at sunset.
