9 yr old nephew broke both bones in his lower leg & baby ayden is sick

That is pathetic about the insurance and refusing care. I recall when I was living in Hungary we always slipped some cash to the medical personnel to ensure *good* care. Speedy healings for both of the kids.

chixie usually for kids there are state insurance programs. We lost insurance through job loss for 6 months almost. We could not afford private insurance but could afford some. We ended up on Kchip here in kentucky. They covered the kids only but they were covered until the insurance from my husbands new job kicked in. Might look into it. We found out about it through local health clinic.

he was on a state program until 4 months ago. his dad died when he was one.. he gets death benefits... but his mom got a 25 cents an hour raise and she lost his chips because that made her making to much money

He will not need surgery at this time. he is in a caste for at least 8 weeks

Poor guy....

my nephews leg is feeling better since they put him in a regular cate (we call him Kermit since his cast is greean and the way they did his cast makes his skinny leg look like a frog leg)...

Ayden is feeling better . he is on antibiotics and breathing treatments...Its hard to believe he will be 1 in less than 2 months...

Poor baby! I'm not sure how far from Houston you are, but Shriners will take care of him without payment.

we are two hours away from houston. the bone specialist worked out a payment plan with his mother... after asking for 200 down... his mom cried because she didnt have it so they let he put 20 down

the amount of taxes we pay in my province is sickening... BUT there is never a child sent home from hospital because of a lack of insurance... I'm sorry but this cheeses me off!... my daughter broke her thumb jumping on the trampoline... well her brother helped with that... we were 20 minutes in the ER and she was sent for the cast... 6 weeks later she was in the hand clinic making sure it healed proper..
