My hen was sitting on duck and chicken eggs. A chick hatched but ducks have til 6/9, 6/10. She kicked the other unhatched eggs out crushing one. I thought it were dead but the duckling moved. Fortunately I have a broody duck now and placed the other eggs under her but this one had a broken shell and has its bill sticking through. I need help on how to try and save the baby. I have an incubator but its in Celsius which I'm old school and never learned it. What temperature should I put it on? Anything someone can tell me is helpful at this point.

Thanks in advance!

Keep an eye on the membrane! Don't let it dry out too much or the baby won't be able to move around very well when it is time to come out. Your veins look really good for being so early. Sometimes under a broody (chicken) hen they get to hatch day faster because the mama doesn't take as many breaks. Mine were 3 days early under my broody.

I have no way of checking humidity levels so I hope and pray this works. I'm just glad my one Runner is wanting to sit. She now has her 2 eggs (26 days to go), 4 more duck and a chicken egg that she is willingly sitting on but are due to hatch in a few days. I've not had this happen since I started using hens to hatch ducks for me, 5 years ago.

I'll update on how "Lucky ducky" does.

The hen pushed the other eggs out and I had to fight her to keep putting them back in the nest. She's in a tank but went into a panic when she couldn't find the chick that had hatched, she was stepping and kicking the eggs everywhere. Luckily a duck went broody and they're under her but this baby had severe shell damage as you can see.
