911 help please!

I'm heading to Big R right now to get some medicine. I hope this works. One other thing, when I found them dead their legs were sticking straight out behind them. I'm not sure if this is just what happens or if it's a symptom of whatever they have.

We just lost another chick. We were out checking on them and this bird was on its back and legs were stiff. Husband picked it up and tried to get it to drink some medicated water. It didn't drink anything, laid there for a bit then stiffened up. Its head was bent back and legs completely stiff then it was gone. There's a couple more that I know we will find dead in the morning unless a miracle occurs. I wish they would just let go. Husband believes we should "let nature take its course" while I think the humane thing to do would be to put them out of their misery. But I guess since I'm not the one wielding the shovel or snapping the neck I don't have too much say. Maybe he's more sensitive than I thought.
This is so disheartening.

Check feed,make sure there is no mold anywhere,dead mice.Have you look at the botulism?,symptoms are loss of appetite,weak in legs,and paralyzed usually within 24 hours,then death.

We are trying to stay away as much as possible because they really get riled up when we go in. The 3 that were standing were laying back down sleeping when we left the coop but I'm wondering if they are just exhausted from being sick. It was a relief to see them up even just for a bit because last night they couldn't do anything but lay with their heads down. Couldn't even hold them up.
I got them new feed last night at Big R just to be safe. But if it was that wouldn't they all be sick? Wish I had a chicken vet near me.

Just got off the phone with them. The lady I talked to said it sounded like coccidiosis since they were vaccinated for Merek's. She gave me a phone number for a vet that does phone consultations. I might wait another day to see how they do before I call as it's $25 for a phone consultation. I'm interested to hear how yours are. Hopefully they do okay. How are they today?

Most of mine are totally normal. The one that was acting strange we isolated last night. She's not declining quickly but just doesn't seem right. Now I don't think she's eating or drinking. And I saw her lean down to take a bite of food and then flop over backwards and start flailing around. The thread I started about my chicks, I posted pics, most people seemed to think she was dust bathing, which I debated, but she just not acting like the others. I'm such a newbie, I don't know what to think! I emailed Meyer but I may just call them.

No other symptoms,runny poop,fluffed feathers,lethargic? If you feel there is something wrong,then there probably is,go with your instincts. If she is not eating or drinking,them something is wrong,check for impacted crop,look up info for cocci.
