One of our girls (just under 2 weeks) had all her tail feathers pecked out last night, just a pitiful bloody stump left :'( I've seperated her into another brooder directly next to her sisters. She has a small stuffed animal and obviously her own food, water and lamp. Is there anything else I should be doing for her?

Mine had that happen only it was by a dog - not the other hens. I just sprayed the area with blukote which served two purposes - 1. it is an antiseptic, and 2. it disguises the red so the others won't peck at the area. However, in your case - I'd be wondering WHY she's being picked on and WHO is starting it? And for now, I'd keep her separated.

Put antibiotic cream twice a day on her cuts and scrapes you can buy at cvs/ walgreens yes it is for people but will help her no worries keep her seperated from other hens until mostly healed or so she won't be lonely put her with a chick smaller than her so she won't get picked on and won't be lonely. she will be healed in a few weeks time don't worrie about thee feathers she is still growing and will grow back when the cut heal put her back with others and observe don't wait untill her feathers grow back to put her back with the others she will just be depressed.

They attacked ANOTHER chick! My favorite girl lost a big chunk of her wing feathers :,( Even more disturbing, when I tried to add her to the brooder with the first chick ("boo-boo tush" according to my 4 y/o) SHE pecked at poor "boo-boo wing". What is turning my chickens into cannibals!? I cant very well seperate all 20 birds.
