These 3 just turned 7 weeks old, they all feathered out super early so I was hoping they would be girls...

But then last week: POOF! combs!

I just put them up for sale, so bummed...

No hope any of them MIGHT be girls?

They don't spar or chest-bump or anything...

I would say chick 1 and 3 are boys. Chick 2 I am not so sure about as I have 2 that looked exactly like that at 7 weeks and both are pullets.

I don't see any stringy saddle or hackle feathers on any of them. On my first go with EE, I thought I had bought all cockerals (I bought the last 4 of a straight run batch at a swap). I was bummed for weeks, because they were so friendly and I was dreading getting rid of them. All 4 of them ended up being hens (beginners luck?). Maybe if you got some shots of their backs, like from above, it may make it a little easier to tell. I have some EE chicks with a little Silkie mixed in, and the cockerals are VERY obviously boy. They have large combs and waddles, are constantly picking on everyone, and have shiney, stringy saddle and hackle feathers. EE are very difficult to sex, but we may be able to help more with pics from lots of different angles. If they were mine, Id keep them all until I was sure. Good luck!

No saddle or hackle feathers on any of them at all... but they are only 7 weeks old.

Before the combs popped up last week I was sure they were girls because they were completely feathered in by 2 weeks of age.

But now... those 3 rows of peas on each of them!

I would not be so quick to unload. EE's and AM's are so hard to sex. I thought I had a Female AM until it crowed.

I am guessing #1 is roo, unsure of #2 and I think #3 is a pullet. #3 is so pretty.
