I have 2 feisty little Sicilian Buttercups I purchased as sexed chicks. It’s my first time with this breed.

One chick, Blossom, is particularly feisty. She spars constantly with my EE cockerel even though she’s half his size. I just thought her feistiness and boldness was her breed. But now she’s tidbitting…

Her comb is slightly less developed than the other Buttercup. She still looks like a pullet to me, but I was hoping for confirmation. Naturally, she’s my favorite. She’s approximately 9-10 weeks old.

Forgot to mention.. she also has these weird hackle feathers. They show all the time, but are more pronounced when she’s sparring or when she’s playing around with me. I thought it was just the new feathers growing in but she’s had them for a while. The other one has it, too, just not as pronounced. Thoughts?
