96 Eggs Set This Morning- Incubation Thread *WE'RE ON DAY 21*

I just candled some of my BBS English Orps & my Seramas, both due 4/27. Today is day 10. I have 12 of the Orp eggs, but I put half of them under my Broody Orp hen, so I haven't candled those. The 6 in the incubator were all clear!

Really hoping and praying broody momma has at least one developing under her, she's been working so hard!

But on a happier note, 9 out of my 13 Serama eggs were doing great!!!

No last time I candled earlier and could see things easily at day 5-6. I'm sure it's fine. I'm going to not stress unless they are clear on Wednesday or I can see a blood ring

So since I candled last night and had to take out 6 BBS Orps and 4 Serama eggs that were clear, I was able to stick in 8 more Lav/Split Orp eggs, 2 BLRW eggs and 1 bantam cochin egg!!

So now I have 3 seperate hatch days to keep track of: 15 eggs on 4/27: the 9 Seramas and 6 BBS Orps under the broody; 48 eggs on 5/1 huge 35 Lav/Split Ameraucana hatch w/ 4 Crele OEGB and 9 Lav/Split Orp eggs and now 11 eggs on 5/7 I have 8 more Lav/Split Orps, 2 BLRW and 1 bantam cochin!

Hate to hear that, but like you said, not bad for shipped eggs. I hope I get 50% of my shipped pullet eggs to go. I'm looking forward to candeling tonight. The shipped eggs are the main reason I set this hatch. The rest were picked up and babied on the way home. Did you check the silkies for fertility, or did they just not go?? Be sure to let the seller know,they should replace them if they weren't fertile. ...........stan

Yeah my friend contacted the seller. 3/12 eggs were fertile and only 1 is developing under a broody. I don't know if they will be replaced or not but it happens I guess.. the risk of buying hatching eggs instead of babies I suppose.
