How high is your humidity?

About 80%. I don't really want it over 73%. There's not much that I can do about it, I think, because the humidity is naturally so high in Atlanta.

I have a BR zipping, along with the EE.

Now take note of this, as a learning experience. Likely the reason it went up so high is because you added water when you took out that first chick. Keep this in mind. As the chicks hatch the humidity will rise, BUT it is usually only temporarily high. It will settle down. Personally, I do not add water once they start hatching. Especially if they are hatching clean and without problems.

Your red plugs should be removed. They need oxygen. Honestly, I never use the plugs. I always leave my vents open. BUT, this is most important now.

Well I have 6 now according to my oldest! I didn't have an opportunity to check before hubby went in for a nap. (we were up at 330 because of an attempted robbery at his restaurant)

I was also unpacking my latest arrival! I got Millie Fleur D'Uccles and some BEAUTIFUL EE eggs. Got such a great deal I couldn't pass. Hope this hatch hurries!!

Okay, thanks, Kathy. I was thinking that. Gosh, I panicked when it dropped. I have all of the vents open, which I also learned from one of your posts! They have been very, very helpful!

Ooh ITSAZOO that's great! But sorry about your DH's restaurant!

The zippers are still zippin', and I have two chicks running around in the bator... an EE and a BO. I just saw a Rhodel/Delaware pip! Can't wait to see what it looks like. I might already have a Rhodel out, not sure.

The Rhodel should be white, like a Delaware. Was the rooster a RIR or Delaware?

Hmm... Than it's not a Rhodel. Must be a BO. I will check my PM's for information on them. I think that the person I bought them from got her birds mixed up and knew that she'd have Dels and Rhodels, no pure RIR, so I assume the sire was a Del.

If the sire is a Delaware, the chicks will look like Delawares. Anyway the ones I hatched from Shelley looked like Dels.
