This was something I noticed since she started "clucking" about 2 weeks ago. It just sounded... hoarse, her cheeps are completely normal. now that she's clucking more, I'm wondering whether this is normal or of concern. The only other one who is clucking regularly is my black sex link, and while the sexlink's not a strong "cluck" by any means, it certainly doesn't sound hoarse.

you can hear it very briefly at about 2 seconds in. I tried to record her clucking multiple times today and of course the little twerp just wont cluck when the camera is on 😓

I really did not hear anything wrong.

I thought it sounds normal.
Some of my EEs cluck like that when they want something
Is she separated from the rest of the flock? I noticed the wiring between her and another. She may be telling you she doesn't want to be separated (who knows, I wish I spoke more of the Chicken Language)

Oh that’s an open pen they’re free to enter and exit. They used it as smaller chicks, so I put it in the run for familiarity. I leaned the food up against it so they wouldn’t tip it over, haha.

That’s a relief to hear. I thought I might be overreacting and she’s pretty normal otherwise, but I wanted to check just in case...

Their voices change as they grow up, just like teenagers with their voices cracking from puberty. You'll get everything from honks to squeaks before they finally get to more "normal" adult clucking.

I call that the 'honking' stage...cracks me up!
