I have a JC Higgins 12 ga. and it does the job real nice.Good kick also.Was my grandfathers gun.Mid 50's I think.My .22 does a great job on long shots when they just enter the yard.Kevin Do have a lot of hawks,not allowed to kill them.

Is it O.K. to shoot the neighbors' dog if it comes over to kill my girls? He won't return my phone calls. I went over to have a chat with him after I found my Black Star dead on the front porch with dog tracks leading back to his house. His wife, obviously on some major medication, answered the door and couldn't have cared less. Two weeks later I discovered what was left of my Rhode Island Red in his yard. Today I found this dog trying to dig a hole under the barn door, but by the time I got the gun it was gone.

I love my ithica 16g its loaded with deer slugs at the moment for the neighbors dogs. My bird shot just didn't cut it. There is nothing better than a powerful gun with very little kickback.

I have been lucky with everyone unloading their unwanted ammo on me for the 16g
