Dip its beak in warm
The quial can't sit up on its feet it just lays on its side the uses the one claw to scoot aroundVitamin E given with a tiny bit of egg yolk.
Does it matter what kind of yolk it is?That can be a symptom of low glucose which causes weakness, so keep trying to get it to take the sugar water. It can also be a symptom of vitamin E deficiency. So mix up a little raw yolk and squirt some vitamin E from a capsule into it. Mix it well. Then hold the chick upright in your hand and dip its beak in the yolk.
Keep dipping the beak into the water and yolk over the next few hours, trying to encourage it to drink and eat. Unless it has a severe problem, dipping the beak will eventually cause it to want to start to eat and drink.
If you keep this up, the chick should improve once it starts taking the water and yolk. Then let it continue to have the sugar water and yolk for the next two days. If it does not improve, but gets worse instead, then you will know it likely has a genetic neurological defect.
