    Hiya!

I'm Neil, and currently own 10 chickens (two boys and eight girls) and one guinea, all of whom are the loves of my life. Here's just a few photos of a few of them.
( Left to right: Nugget, Eggnog, Noodle. )

Most of my birds were raised from when they were a few days old, but two of them were adopted from a chicken swap as adults! They've generally helped me out a whole lot emotionally, and Eggnog is currently a registered therapy chicken (who can legally be kept in the city)! My flock produces about a dozen eggs every three days (way too many!) but more importantly, they're all giant sweeties who love snuggles and whatever food I happen to be eating at the time.
Our coop fluctuates between an outdoor homemade one and just the washroom of my house, depending on the weather, and they have full access to a huge yard and plenty of varying food.
I am interested in taking in at least one more chicken before I settle down (to make an even dozen!) but so far I have the following in my flock:

    A Light Brahma rooster,
    An unknown gamecock rooster,
    A female guinea,
    A Black Sex-Link hen,
    A Buff Orpington hen,
    A Rhode Island Red hen,
    Two Ameraucana hens,
A Black Frizzle Cochin bantam hen,
    An unknown tiny bantam hen,
    A blue silkie hen.

I look forward to having a good time on BYC and answering as many questions as I'll probably ask, haha!

Hi Neil and welcome to BYC - thanks for the photos - great looking birds. My advice is that seeing as you have quite list of possible breeds is to get one of all of them! [IMG]

    Gladly!

Should I start a new/different thread for it, or just say it all here?

    Hadn't thought about that.

Over in "Pictures and Stories of my Chicken" sounds like a
fair choice. I usually hang out in Random, but I can look for
anything you post and find it.

It just sounds interesting to read about.

I'm sure that many people here would like to hear your story.
