Hey Y'all!
My hubby and I live in the city of Austin, Texas...the Live Music capitol of the world as they say 'round here. Our 4 Gold Sex-Links are trying to make it BIG here in this music town but the competition is fierce and their "sound" just isn't being appreciated. They practice every morning between 9 a.m. and 11:30 in the backyard but so far have yet to make it to the stage. The girls definitely have a following here in this suburban neighborhood amongst the younger generation but the older folks here are mixed. The girls work hard to appeal to everyone and have even gone so far as to give away eggs at all of their free performances in an effort to win over the crowd but there is still work to be done. In the meantime, we manage the girls the best we can and cater to their diva demands to keep them happy. Frozen watermelon on the half rind, pure rain water, locally harvested meal worms, organic feed...you name it...anything to keep them focused on their craft. To their credit, these girls never get down about things; they keep their beaks to the ground and eyes to the sky, knowing that any day will be their big break onto the scene.
