A big white bird flying by night?!

We have one owl that I see often out around our coop, We don't bother it because it goes after any rodents that are around the coop. It can't get to the chickens at night, They are locked up tight and they don't normally hunt in the day time. Owls are a good thing, just keep your chickens secure at night..

Yes. I already learned my lesson. The chickens were all locked up safe last night, except for a rooster and two hens who for some reason prefer to roost up high in the open - so high there's no way I can get them down. I have no idea how to discourage them from doing this. Lock them up for a couple of weeks perhaps?
