A bird haunting...not for faint of heart..

I have decided I am anti-Bob White quail.

I was looking them up last night, because they were mentioned in another thread, I saw the brainiacs at the DNR in Minnesota have decided we only have 1000 left in the state. I thought, Yes, even I a redneck tree cutter, we should try to restore them.

There was a link to an article someone from "Quail's forever" wrote in the article he talks about the good birds do for the environment. Who could argue with that, right?

Well, then he goes way off the deep end and starts talking about chickadees, and how good they are for people. What an idiot, does he not know about my problems with chickadees? Has he never been haunted by one. or two? Has he ever had one follow him 1000 miles and harass him?

If this is the type of people that want BobWhites restored. I am against them.. Foolish foolish move! A bobwhite is like three times as big as a chickadee. Think of the problems that will cause...

I have never had a Bob white stare in at a window, but I have been awakened at dawn by a quail announcing its presence to the world. I have even been accosted by one in my own driveway. FAR more fearsome than a chickadee!

I understand the bobwhites could be scarey, BUT not nothing compares to being haunted by a chickadee!

He is back!

Just when I thought it was safe to go outside, I look out the window whle enjoying my morning coffee and see HIM!

He is just sitting on a tree branch looking into the house. The only thing missing from the feeders is a suet cake. I will be putting it in soon. I do not want him PO'd at me!

It is going to be a long scary winter if he is going to watch me like this everyday!
