Good choices in breeds my black Australorp is my friendliest bird. I have one RIR that's kinda stand offish but a GREAT layer so there's that. Start messing with them early by feeding wet crumbles out of your hand. They will prefer that over it in a bowl if you do it daily for 2-3 weeks on.
