Good breed choices. There are some breeds that are "friendlier" then other breeds, but almost any chicks that are raised with human contact can be people friendly. Good luck!

I am torn on this decision pictures of Buffs orpington look so full and huggable. I want to make sure i get breeds that are good for each other as well, id like to get at least 2 different breeds but ultimately want them to be "happy birds" and have good companions in each other. But also a dependable egglayer during winter as these will be the tools of bribery for my jerk neighbor to the right that shares my fence. Any suggestion on which 2? I intend to get 3 hens will 2 of 1 breed give a cold shoulder to the lone differnt one?
