The hen in the photo above is a purebred White Leghorn we bought from someone who raises Leghorn pullets commercially and sells them to the egg industry. We bought a few pullets and this one just hatched her first chicks! I know White Leghorns supposedly had broodiness bred out of them, but in the few years we've been raising chickens this is our second case of a broody Leghorn. The first one was actually an ex-bat.
