A bump on my chicken

Hi I'm new to Backyard Chickens and new to having pet chickens. One of my girls has a large bump or growth under one of her wings. Can anyone tell me what it is? I have felt under her wing and it feels normal. Almost like she grew very fast just on one side of her body. Should I not be eating her eggs?

Hi and welcome to BYC. I would suggest that you re-post your question on the ER forum - https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures. Whatever it may be, I would very much doubt that her eggs would be rendered unsafe.

It sounds like it is the crop. The crop becomes full and will feel like a bubble.
It is completely normal and just means your bird has had plenty to eat. It should go down by morning.
Are you certain your bird is a hen?
