A cat killed The Duchess of Yolk :(

Yes!!!!!
This morning the cat was in the trap!!!!!
I drove him to a big farm about 5 miles out of town. They had lots of barns so I imagine they will have a lot of mice to eat!
Thanks everyone.

Wow! I would be most unhappy if someone just dumped their problem on my property! Sorry, that is not kind or responsible.

You do realize you just dumped your problem on somebody's doorstep don't you?

It is actually illegal to dump dogs and cats......
I disagree...I don't think she "dumped" it. She took it to a farm about 5 miles away and will be a barn cat. Better than shooting it with a .22, eh?

its not illegal as long as the cat or dog is not yours. in that case you are only replanting it in a safer environment.. aka one with out an angry trigger happy chicken owner. people relocate fox's, coons, rabbits, bears you name its been relocated.

Yes, in hindsight it may have been kinder to kill it. I really didn't think about my decision long enough. But it was a feral cat, not a pet.

I'm thinking you are right. I found a law in Massachusetts that says its illegal, I couldn't find one for Iowa but I'm thinking you are right about it being illegal. So next time I will save myself the time, hassle and the possible fine and just shoot the pest with a .22 long, I will just have to keep that info from my wife. she doesn't like the idea of killing animals for being animals.

Ask yourself this question - how happy would you be if the cat had been dumped at your house?
