A chicken adopted me and I was wondering how old she is

At the beginning of the year a chicken come into my yard and never left. She is now my chicken named Demeter, she is very sweet I can pick her up, she sometimes rides on my shoulder and I usually give her a good night kiss on her back, and love’s to spend time with me. We have gotten her food and a waterer ( we don’t have the money right now to get a second chicken or coop but we are hoping to soon, for right now she is sleeping in the laundry room) and I was wondering how old she is? She’s laying eggs almost every day and I looked it up apparently you can tell by looking at there feet?

I'm guessing around 10 months to a year. The scales on her leg look smooth, her eyes, comb,& wattles are bright, and she doesn't look as filled out as an older hen.
Nice rescue! I hope you'll be able to find a friend for her soon and a nice coop too. Kudos to your parents for letting you keep her in the laundry room.
