..and walks out with 6 more chicks. What can I say?! They had some funky looking little banties and I can’t not find a reason to scoop some of them up. One little polish passed away, which wasn’t super surprising. Pasty butt up the wazoo. By the time I’d gotten him home and washed it all off and got some NutriDrench into him, it was already too late. I have such a soft spot
for the little Polish babes and it’s so very sad.
But! Not all news is sad! I still have 5 more little nuggets that, though I feel I’ve ID’ed for the most part, I would appreciate some help with. Some of my older ones are still baffling me as well.
Gold laced Polish? He has muffs.
Blue Cochin?
Bantam RIR?
Porcelain d’Uccle?
Red Cochin? Has feathered legs.
One of my 18-day olds, a Mottled Japanese. Am I correct in assuming that he’s a little cockerel?
A 32 day old self blue d’Uccle. Cockerel?
Please tell me that this little BR is a pullet? Around three weeks old, standard size. The comb is concerning!
Pullet? Bantam Brahma, 32 days old.
No clue what this one is. I’m feeling like she may be a Cornish, but she’s not quite so chunky. I have a Cornish cockerel who is a massive chub compared to her. She feathered in the fastest. I’m crossing my fingers on her being a pullet! 32 days old.
Bantam EE? No clue what color she’d turn out to be - if anyone has any guesses, please mention them!
Just for fun - is this little Silkie a roo? 32 days old. A few have the big combs like his. Hatchery quality, hence the single comb.
