A Concerning Egg Lay

Anytime! You're welcome :D
There is an article here on BYC's about using eggshells as a calcium source. My chickens like eggshells better but my ducks really like the rock like oyster shell more.

I do feel like offering a free choice supplement calcium is extremely important for a laying duck.

I wish you the best. Feel free to share some pictures of your ducks. I, along with many others love seeing others flocks! Especially Runners!!!

I would make sure to provide oyster shells for her. Personally I would offer it without grit mixed together. My ducks enjoy the grey kind, and refuse the white kind. Some ducks don't care. You might need to try both.

Do you use layer feed? It also has calcium and other nutrition that supports healthy laying. My veterinarian is adamant about having laying ducks on layer feed. You can also purchase human calcium tablets and give them to your duck orally. Even if her shells are strong the calcium can help with the contractions of muscles.
