I would have to say Roo also. Mostly based on picture #2, with the saddle feathers, stance comb and wattles. We have a couple of hens that are more dominant than our roo. Maybe you do too and that is why you don't hear him crow and why they beat him up.

This is very random, but the title of "A couple of questions" suits my topic well. My hen is broody, and isn't pooping. At all. Is that normal? How long can a chicken go without eating/drinking/pooping? I'm heading out of town on sunday and won't be back till saturday. Will she be alive when I get back, or do I need to hire a neighbor to make her get up and poop, eat, and drink?
