ok... so I guess its just up to the individual which to use... if other people are using it, and its not killing off their chicks and chickens... I guess I'm not so afraid to use it also if need be. I understand some people are all about being "green"... but when it comes to bugs... I don't want anything to do with bugs of any kind. Flies are bad enough, but the kind of bugs that crawl on ya... nope... not for me. I know chicken bugs generally can't live for long on people... but I still don't want them on me or my grand kids either for that matter! Plus I have horses, and my vets tells me Chicken lice can live on horses, so I'm not into that at all! I am just so new to chickens, that I don't know what is safe to use for the chicken. I use Endure mixed with Bronco on my horses, and Frontline on my dogs and cats. So I am open to any suggestions for what to use with chickens! I just don't want to poison them. I would like to put a few in the freezer this fall. Thanks for the info. And if anyone else has more suggestions to keep bugs off chickens... I'd love to hear them!
