A creative alternative to backyard chickens?

OK, when I decided to keep poultry for egg production (and cuteness), I weighed the pros and cons of chickens, guineas, ducks, and geese. Here is what I got:

AnimalProsConsRanking
DucksExcellent layers - lay bigger eggs more often than chickensMales must be separated1
ChickensGood layersMales must be separated2
GeeseMonogamous - do not need sexingTerrible layers3
GuineasMonogamous - do not need sexingBad layers, agressive4

As far as agriculturally zoned land you need to look specifically into those. I live in an agricultural a zoned area but found out that I was not allowed to raise my goats pigs or even my chickens without at least 5 acres of land. A different agricultural zoning makes it OK with as little as 1 acre People are working to change the rule about chickens in the A3 zoning. I got lucky and the house I just purchased has 17 acres. But my old house I assumed it was agricultural so it was OK. But apparently they're very specific. So when you're looking for agricultural zoning look into the specifics of each one for your area

Sorry, my table was wrong. It was supposed to be this:

Another alternative which is much different but would be good if she is a lover of animals. See if there's a 4H program in your area or nearby possibly. Or if you think it's possible and other people Feel as though there should be a change maybe you could look into starting a movement to change your ornaments

What was it that put guineas in the 'terrible layer' category?
