Hows da pup?
Thanks for asking! We still have a lot to work on. She got aggressive when we tried to give her a bath. But it was trigger stacking. Our bathroom is small and shes afraid to go in it and once inside she was backed into a corner. We did not get bit though. I waited for her to self calm and then gave her a treat. She was fine after that. Had a treat party after: 5 blue buffalo bits, a piece of cheese and a slice of bacon. I'm hoping she feels better about baths now but we just gotta take it slow. She had one accident in the house but it was our fault. We fell asleep before last call and she didnt get locked in the crate. Shes better about the crate now too. She just takes a nap until I get home and she sleeps through the night. She has her good days and bad days. Sometimes shes a dream...good all day...no nipping or jumping...other days she is impatient and rowdy. We're just taking it one step at a time. But she now knows roll over, play dead, sneak and beg. Her dog aggression has improved. Shes now only aggressive if there is a person by the other dog. She hasnt had much opportunity to practice but I'm sure she will get better. She is very smart. She has tried my patience numerous times but I refuse to give up on her. She may be stubborn but I am more stubborn.

She is quite happy here though. And we love her. No matter how much a PITA she is. She gets along with the cat now too. They're still not quite friends...but I caught them playing the other day. It was adorable. I wish I thought to record it. If I catch it again I'll post it

Am glad you keeping her. Time is all it will take maybe a long while she's worth it. She's what a 1 to 1.5 years old? She is a beauty well worth the effort you two are doing with her.
We are not quite sure about her age. The rescue told us she was 5. But the vet we took her to to get spayed said judging by her teeth she is not a day over 3. She acts like a puppy so I would guess 2 to 3 years old. She's getting her heartworm rechecked in november so I might ask them to check her age or genetics with the test depending on the cost. She is definately worth the time but she is very stubborn. Shes really bad about "come here" so we are working on that. Shes amazing with tricks though. We added beg and salute to her list recently. I just wish she was as good about minding as she is performing!

She will take time but the reward is worth it. Suggestion to making her mind is to treat it like you do her trick's training this is just a thought.
I do...at least I think I do:idunnoI click the clicker when she does what I want and she gets a treat. I guess I just have to do it more. Its kinda hard to reward when I don't notice it...because it's how she should behave.

There's tipping point with treats, they can lose their value.
I'd work on the basic commands more than there tricks.
IMO 'come' is the most important command to be learned.

Treats are fine for tricks, but no treat is worth more that that bunny running across the road! I agree with aart, training for real life situations isn't about cookies.

I agree as well. Shes mostly bad about it outside so she is not allowed off leash outside the fence. She doesnt like to leave the porch unless there is a squirrel that simply must be caught:lau. I worked with her today to "come" to me from off the porch. She would and then I told her she was good and gave a treat. But then she turned around and went right back to the porch:barnie. I think tomorrow it will be "come", "sit", then attach the leash to enforce what I expect her to do before getting a treat
