My Muscovy's like to chew on the chickens if they get too close. My chickens have learned to keep their distance. And not having them all penned up together helps also. That way the other poultry can stay away.I have a question.
How do you convince Muscovy's that chickens, turkeys and guineas are friends and not chew toys?
I have to remind my drake that hard bites are not welcome with me either. They are getting too familiar when they do that. I will lay Opie down on his belly where he can't get up till he stops fighting if he gets carried away with the biting.Reason for asking is my Drake likes to chew like a puppy on everything, even me I have bruises from him biting and chewing to hard. I dont mind the light nibbles like my hens do but man can he pack a punch.
