A different approach to assisted hatching

Every time I see that chick out in the yard I remember that I should have brought my camera out so I can post pics... alas... I am in the middle of feeding or something and don't want to stop and take the time to do it. For now, know that he is alive and well and growing. I'll try to remember to get pics soon.

Brilliant!
"Like a surgeon, hey" Bad Weird Al imitation, but the sentiment is heart felt.
Way to go, glad all your effort and your chicks hard work paid off.
Thanks for putting the new shell to existing shell 'remedy' in my subconscious arsenal.

You are certainly welcome. I hope you never need it, but if you do...

Is it still a girl?
I think so. I should get some more recent photos to put on here.

Lacy, what a great story and thank you for documenting the outcomes and great commentary. I will be hatching this spring and it will be my first. Trying to read ahead and have ideas incase I run into issues. Scribed so I can reference back. Have you thought of making a page in your profile for this? I don't know how people do that but they are helpful for us newbies.

Thanks for the update! I'm a little late checking back, but I still just love your story and pics. :D

I'm not sure about a page in my profile but I do have a link to this thread in my signature. It will be at the very bottom of my post.
