One of our three dogs is a hunting dog, a rare breed that I often forget the name of.
So there is ski, jet black, tongue and all. He is a pain in the butt and not my favorite though I wouldn't want anything to happen to him. He seems to enjoy doing things in front of me just to watch me get irriate. BUT he is my husabnds and was so long before I came along. So I take it as a jealousy issue and do my best to ignore the dog.
So yesterday while keeping Roo Roo, my sick rooster in the laundry room where he enjoys sleeping in the dirty rags, I went in and feed him and then forgot to close the door!
I left and then about 20 mintues later realized the door was open. Excepting to find him in his basket I was dismayed to find he was not. I searched the house through thinking how could he had disappeared? He cant see!
Ski in the meantime was following me around and kept nipping at my hand. I told him to go away and I would take care of him after I found Roo Roo.
Ten minutes later the dog is sitting and sniffing something I found his resteless behavior kind of odd and thought oh crap he ate my Roo Roo.
So I ran over to where he had his nose stuffed in a tight, dark spot and leaned in to find Roo Roo turning his head to the sound of my voice. Ski nipped and then licked my hand as to say, this is what this means! He sniffed the Rooster again and laid down starring atme with those tiny jet black eyes.
I was truly brought to shame. The dog was merely trying to tell me he knew where Roo Roo was! So the dog got a treat and the Roo Roo returned to the laundry room in his basket where he seemed happy once again.
I guess Roo Roo as usual was trying to follow me by the sound of my voice and strayed off.! How sweet is that?
