So I took MIL to the doctor today and picked up a magazine to read while waiting in the waiting room. I came across an ad with the title A Dozen Eggs! I read though whole thing and I like the idea behind the ad, but think it has a whole lot wrong with it. If you want to teach a kid, teach him the right way. Not only part way. Not to mention all the grammatical errors in the ad.....

The point of the ad is at the bottom: Everyday moments can become learning moments. Because learning starts long before school does.
So tell stories. Count the groceries. Identify colors. Even a chore with
your child will become much more. Find out more at bornlearning.org.

(not YOU, i mean you as in general)

Yeah, I can see why that is frustrating. I never understood why parents don't teach their children where their food comes from. It does not just "appear" in the stores! Some people I've come across think roosters lay eggs, or get this...that rabbits lay eggs! That's just simple biology right there. I just don't understand people.

One of my room mates saw a piece of raw chicken on the counter that I was planning to cut and she had no idea what it was. Once again, I just don't get it! She said she had never seen her mom cook chicken before. I always remember my mom letting me help her with everything! It's sad that others have not been exposed to the same.

i had a goofball neighbor who believed in cabbits..ill never forget this lady arguing with me about it.

Petting farm visits are great;) I love the look on other parents face when I tell my kids what is edible, some people eat goat, some people eat horse, some eat pigs, some eat guinny pig. Out of the many things people try to hide why is it where food comes from and what people eat in other countries?

I have lost billions of 'friends' because I raise meat chickens. One lady was screaming stuff at me about how inhumane I was until I called the cops.
