A few basic questions. Please take your time to read this.

Where do you live? Most places have different regulations

Sure but only cause I am from Abingdon, VA....

Seriously though...if you are planning on just a few sales, VA isnt overly concerned...at least from my point of view.

I have been selling eggs and chicks for 2 years and no one has slapped my hand yet. I live in a very rural area and dont sell at farmers mkts or anything....just BYC and neighbors.

Hope this helps!

I'd start here: http://leg1.state.va.us/000/src.htm

and
do at least two searches:

Search one would be on poultry and search two would be on eggs.

There are many results returned for both searches.

While it is possible that the city you live in might have regulations it is likely to be in the area of restaurant (food preparation) regulations.

The amprolium, which is what most starter/grower feeds have in them allows them to build immunity to coccidiosis it does not keep that from happening. It does not lead to the use of chemicals while they are laying.

Pharmacology - By mimicking its structure, amprolium competitively inhibits thiamine utilization by the parasite. Prolonged high dosages can cause thiamine deficiency in the host and excessive thiamine in the diet can reduce or reverse the anticoccidial activity of the drug.

I'm not certain, but I don't think the dosages in medicated feeds are very high at all if my memory is correct.

i would like to point out that before we are quick to say that chickens do not love we should step back and realize that we are no chickens and therefore have no idea whether chickens feel love or not! they might and just do it differently than people. unless you are a chicken and then you would know
