also with the marans if it was a cockerel it would also have that red/copper color coming in on the wings as pullets/hens only get that around their neck just like she has :-D

not all of them but it is the standard for a fbcm to have feathered legs

Some Marans have feathered legs, some don't. My big Cuckoo Marans girl has bare legs.

Ok, I wonder if I have Marans girls then lol..

I hatched out two sets of eggs at the same time. The first dozen were pure Marans, the second dozen were pure Wheaten Marans roo over pure Ameraucana hens. I just assumed the bare legged ladies were the mixed. Hmmm, I'm going to have to go outside and take a better look at my ladies.

thank you, I was thinking this also. but I do not know what you get when you mix birds. so mixing a rhode island red and a Amauracana gives me an EE ? I love it!! my hope would be blue eggs, but with the rhode island red it will be brown eggs probably. thank you

green eggs ?? oh wow how cool!! now I have to find some blue eggers , my broodie will not break for nothing. she is on the third week, I have bathed her in cool water 2 times, and caged her, locked her out of the nesting erea nothing lol, she is a wonderful mama, so maybe I better throw a few under her . what gives a real nice blue egg?

well they may look like them but there not. there is no sex links, nor production reds from this breeder here in montana .
