My hen Mabel. She drops an egg daily it seems...her poults do well and have been growing fast.

If you are into turkeys, you might like this gallery I put together from a day in Cades Cove. I usually do not shoot there in teh spring but I got caught in that area for 1 day in between assignments and took full advantage of it!

What breed are they? I'm new to turkeys. The iridescent red on the breast feathers is beautiful!

Two are Wishards and 1 hen is a Eastern Wild. The wild hen is flighty but sticks close to us, the other two are friendly and have been great breeders this spring.

The true wild turkey pictures are supposedly easterns, but I have never seen such a copper sheen on wilds locally. I checked all the literature I could find about that area in Tenneessee but only came back with easterns.
