where do you live? I'm only allowed "by law" to have two but I have 4 and will be getting 2 more first of May. As long as I keep giving eggs to the neighbors they could care less and I think they are proud of them too! I wouldn't dare get a rooster though.

I also wonder if you can squeeze another couple of little girls in. If they are the same color... then you can trick the eye. Unless all 4 are standing together.

get a privacy fence. i have a privacy fence...and the ordinance where i live says i can have ZERO chickens....and i'm gonna have 5 hens.

(that's what i think of the chicken law) i asked my neighbors (the ones right beside me) and they're fine with it. i'll give them eggs too! i'm just a lil' rebel that's all.

I am sure glad I don't live in an area with restrictions. I have 15 hens in the coop and 26 in the brooder.
