A few questions from a first time chicken owner.

Oh my gosh, this sounds exactly like my situation! My uncle made the a coop and it sounds quite similar. It's a small chicken tractor so i move it around when needed, but the girls generally just go to the shady areas of the yard, and on the hotter days I've been hosing down the yard and coop roof. Lol
And I've been wondering how winter will go and have been debating getting a secondary coop that can be better winterized, but that makes me feel better!
