A few questions:

Hey I am knew to duck keeping. I thought I knew a lot of stuff, but I guess not.

1: I thought my ducks were sneezing because of "fine" pine shavings. They were eating them. Is this bad? Can it act up respiratory stuff?

2: Is it true that if a duck eats pine shavings and then drinks water the wood will absorb the water and the duck will die?

3: Are my ducks sneezing cuz they are over heated? Do I need to remove heat light? They are only 5 days old.

4: I got some VetRx in case it was respiratory issues. Can I use it on ducklings? Can I use it even if they are not sick?

5: I got some "flake" pine shavings will that help with there sneezing?

I would love to hear from you guys. I am soo lost and need some help. I would love to act fast in case what I am doing is bad for my ducks. So thanks if you have answers!

Can you try using puppy pads or towels in your brooder instead of shavings? Do that and see if the sneezing stops.

Ok I have used towels for a day and it did not stop. do you think using larger shavings will help? I really think they are sneezing cuz of them eating them soo, I changed to larger ones. If you have any other ideas to what it could be I would love to know!

I would try to rule out shavings by using towels or puppy pads for several days.

Can you post a video of the sneezing? Do they have a discharge from their nostrils or eyes?

Do they have enough water to clear their nostrils? That was an issue I had a few weeks ago. You could give them some water to swim/wade in and see if it helps.
